Want to become a certified practitioner of NLP?

Welcome to our  booking and information page  Below you'll  find more information about NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming), the practitioner course dates and content (including optional levels and prices), more about who we are and then finally, how to reserve yourself a place should you wish to go ahead and join us. Let’s begin firstly, by explaining what NLP is and why it might be useful for you to become more familiar with it.

Neurolinguistic Programming is a bit of a crap name for something so interesting and useful to know about. It doesn't immediately communicate the essence of what it is nor do the benefits justice. You don’t have to be a coach, therapist or ‘professional’ to get something out of it, we all deal with people, usually none more challenging than managing yourself!  If you do work with people in any capacity, you’ll know that sometimes the only ‘tools’ we have are our ability to communicate and act. We all think, we all do, we all make sense of the world around us, but how many of us look beyond that? How often do we question what we say, what we do, what we believe or why we believe it in a constructive and useful way? Most of what we do, we do unconsciously, without real attention or active conscious presence, through habit and repetition (also known as learning!), yet very few of us learn more about our psychology and the influence our words and habits actually have over us.

For me, knowing NLP helps me utilise my attention with purpose to make sense of how I think about and respond to life’s events in much more useful ways. More importantly, how I can have more choice in in those responses, more of the time. It also helps me recognise these differences in other people and allows me the flexibility to adapt where I can to avoid misunderstandings and improve communication. I don't always get it right, I'm still human and imperfect in many ways and I'm ok with that too!

If you're interested in finding out more about how you can have more conscious presence and choice in your experiences in life, in work and your relationships with others then this could be a good step towards what you're looking for.  If your curious about how you can actively reduce conflict and drama in your life by understanding and responding more effectively to the challenges it brings you, then you will find this course not only interesting, but enjoyable and above all else, extremely useful too.

A little about NLP

Originally developed in the 1970’s and credited to Richard Bandler and John Grinder, NLP offers us a way of exploring the structure of  subjective experience that recognises the complexity and dynamic nature of individuality. It’s approach is based on a methodology of ‘modelling’ that brings together fields of study and presents a body of practical based techniques for positive change, self management and communication. Based on approaches from therapy, hypnosis, linguistics, neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, NLP offers a synthesis of the common threads between disciplines to help us understand the human condition, along with practical techniques you can begin to utilise immediately.

Neuro – our neurology, the way we experience the world around us through sensory information and internal processes.

Linguistic – The language we use to express these experiences both to ourselves and each other.

Programming – The often unconscious and automatic responses we’ve learned and developed throughout our lives.
